Eisenhower Book Club

Join us as we discuss, With the Old Breed, a critically acclaimed memoir of war in the Pacific during World War II. Explore the physical, mental, and emotional struggle of combat through the experiences of a mortarman in the battles of Peleliu and Okinawa.

Discussions will be led by Hayley Hasik, military historian and educator at the Eisenhower Birthplace. Join us as we delve into some of the individual and lesser-known histories of World War II. Hayley will provide historical context and facilitate discussion each month. We encourage you to read the book before the meeting, but you are more than welcome to job us if you only read some of the book or just want to learn more about the topic. There are copies available for checkout at the Denison Public Library.
